Tze Khoong first attended Bartley Church Youth Fellowship in 1971. It was at 9 Bartley Road then, the previous location.
In 1977, she was baptised by Pastor John Willis at Calvary Baptist Rd. at Wan Tho Ave. Bartley Church had no baptismal pool then. Upon graduation, she worked at the National Youth Leadership Training Institute for 2 years, then at the Spore Girl Guides Association for the next 4 years.
She joined Spore Youth for Christ (SYFC) as a full-time staff member in 1984 and served there for the next 20 years until 2004. When in SYFC, she had the opportunity to pursue a MA in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from 1996–1999. Around 2000 was the time when there was a lot of interest in English teaching to use it to access countries such as China for outreach and evangelism.
Tze’s first trip out was to Japan. She was invited by an OMF missionary to help a local church for a month in its summer outreach programme. which offered English classes. Going to Kunming and Szechuan in China for summer English programmes with another missions agency was next in 2000.
In 2005, after she left SYFC, a new phase of ministry through English teaching began for Tze, and it has continued on as God opens doors and enables her to go forth.
